You just started your build in September and you're already submitting for approval?!?! Holy crap! Talk about a speed build! I'm still a month away from just finishing my helmet! Can't wait to see some pics!
Thanks! Yes, I did start a couple months ago. I got lucky in the cargo hold and found things that weren’t posted and decided to take some chances. Luckily I didn’t get burned (too much) and got some good deals. Some of the things I acquired were raw, started, a couple things were finished but needed work or touch ups. I had to build a couple things too because I couldn’t find certain things. The helmet was done by a builder and the chap I bought it from was in an unfortunate situation and had to sell a finished helmet. That’s one thing I didn’t do any work on. Everything else needed work or had to be done from scratch.
I did get an update. I needed to submit additional pics of the boots because they look dark in the shade. I did a better lighting shot, so I’m sure they will be ok. My kidney plate needed a little trim, and I fixed that as well and submitted the corrections. All in all, those couple things aren’t too bad. Keeping the fingers crossed!
Thanks! I’m so relieved it’s done. Once I started working on it, Christmas was my personal deadline as it seemed like I could get the parts and work done by them! Almost a month early, so I can’t complain!
Thank you! Good luck! It can be daunting at first. I wasn’t sure where to start because I didn’t want to screw anything up, but at some point you gotta just jump in! Are you doing ESB, ROTJ or SE? Do you have a build thread?

I am doing an ESB build. I haven't started a thread yet, as I have really only acquired a cape so far last week. I have other parts either on the way or being worked on by some talented members though, and I plan on starting a thread once I actually have some content to share.
I agree. The CRL doesn't specify anything about the weathering to the gloves like it does with the flight suit and boots, so for certification I followed the CRL completely. That being said, how does a guy like Fett go through life without literally getting his hands dirty? Hahah!
A couple pics from my first troop with my Fett for a coworker’s son’s birthday party. I am pleased to say it didn’t fall apart! I did have a couple minor issues, such as the belts slipping down. I think I have a couple things in mind to fix this. Braids went awry, but also easily fixed. Anyway, great time and we had a great trooper turnout!
After a knee injury and surgery, I finally trooped again today! Two events in one day. Local Con at a community college and A Star Wars celebration at a library. Great time. Lots of compliments on the Fett kit. Made me glad to see the hard work paid off!
