you need to create a cradle for the darts to sit in the "hump" of the outside of the knee armor. FP includes this in his FPA but RS does not. easily fabricated tho. the darts will sit at a 90 degree angle in the fabricated cradle and with how the cradle fits inside the "hump" will keep them straight. they sit pretty deep inside the armor itself. here's what i mean...
also, the holes cut into the side of the "hump". here is a shot of one of my knees.
and a shot of the FPA knee next to the latest RS knee. i cant tell much of a difference to be honest...
Yea I've done the cradle before. I just recently worked on both a set of rkd knees and FP knees. Zero problems. RS knees just seem way small. Kinda bummed they don't come with an insert to drill into also. RS should.

yeah, this will likely be my least favorite part of the RS armor... besides repositioning the 3 holes on the ab-plate, cutting the chest light display windows, adding ESB damage to the left knee and filling in the dent on the back plate. lol but no biggie, everyone enjoys a challenge! dont worry Slash, i got you bro [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
Best thing to do is spray pam inside the knee....mix up some bondo....put it into the side of the knee....let it cure...and boom knee insert! Bobas your Uncle.

Whatever works! Looks interesting how you did that...the inserts RKD provides are alot to be desired to be honest...the foam is a good idea...but a little small for the darts dakota supplies works for the resin pieces pretty well
The foam pieces from the RKD armor wouldn't fit the knees you have right ? If you could use them I can see if they are still kicking around and I'll send them to you if you'd like ? The Dakota knee darts look a little on the big side for the knees but about the same size as the RKD darts I used .
