Update got the silver damage, Grey damage done and purple mix airbrushed. Purple looks darker in the picture but it’s super close to the reference photos I’m using. Just need to remove the liquid mask and pencil in the purple damage and re mask then airbrush the red.
Wow all I can say. Got the mandibles and trim done. Still need to do slot of fine details and the kill stripes. Oh and the ears need to be done. But I’m happy how it’s turning out.
Ok lightly buffed the Helmet with 0000 steel wool. Topically brushes some of the fine details. Laid out the kill stripes with a stencil and white pencil. The masked off. Need to apply damage and liquid mask next to the kill stripes.
Got a ton more detailing done including the fading under the kill stripes. Also got the white finger prints done that took a few try’s. Getting close now.
Touched up some of the purple details. Some more weathering and the carbon scoring around the dent and streak. Just a few more final touches to do. Rf topper, Borden connector, mq-1 circuit board. Satin seal coat.
So I added the crack at the corner of the left mandabile and brow dome area. Did some of the yellow stain weathering. Used some Windsor and Newton yellow sunshine.
Working on the interior of the helmet now. Pre fitting the 90’s era military Kevlar helmet suspension harness. This is what I found that will work for me. Need to epoxy in some Chicago screws.
Sprayed a Satin clear sealer on the helmet. And got the headgear installed. It fits well I think it is better than pads more airflow. Just waiting on the chin cup from Darth Voorhees.
Haven’t posted on my helmet thread in awhile. Since then I have finished a few more damage details and smudges. The white smudge on the right cheek.
some Henry’s fans. Installed a MachineCraftReplicas hollow stalk with JC27 lights.
