Superjedi's MF #6 ESB for Jesster

Thanks, guys. Sorry, Garrett. . . I'll try to sssslllooowwww down!

Got the dent/streak done today. Took pics at weird angles so the silver didn't blow everything out.

Gonna get the big scrape on top of the dome stenciled next.

I've been watching your last few threads for some months now and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly you can get these looking top quality! Do you find that the more you do you could almost do it with your eyes closed?

Thanks, guys. :). I've been having some odd connectivity issues the past couple of days so haven't been able to get on TDH...
Thinbluefett, by cement I guess you mean concrete? That's a Polly Scale acrylic color. Testors also makes a version that looks nearly identical.
Somerset, lol, no definitely wouldn't try this with my eyes closed. But maybe I could try holding the brush with my toes for an extra challenge. ;)

Well I've already started this one, so maybe the next one.

Guess it's been a few days since I updated this project. Had to work out some computer equipment issues.
I've been busy on the bucket though! Here are some in progress shots to bring things up to speed.

Beginning the masking for the killstripes.
IMAG4662.jpg
All taped off and the helmet is protected.
IMAG4663.jpg
I applied some liquid mask, then airbrushed the stripes. What a mess, huh?!
IMAG4665.jpg
When it was dry, I removed the tape. The liquid mask hasn't been removed yet in this next shot.
IMAG4666.jpg
After removing the mask and adding the details, we wind up with this.

The dome is now complete. :) You can see in the pics that I've already blocked in the dark outer cheeks. This weekend I'll begin
the cheek damage. I've also gotten the base coats down on the ear pieces.

Thanks! Let's get some pics posted then. ;)

I got the left cheek finished up. I always liked the damage patterns in this area. Seems really angular compared to other parts of the helmet.

Hmmm. . . something else seems different in that pic. . . what could it be? Ah, yes--THE RED.
I had gotten the cheek done late Sunday, so this afternoon I masked everything off and shot the red base layer on the mandibles and band.

The red really begins to tie all the other colors together. I'll let this dry overnight, then begin the damage tomorrow.
