Here's the upper part of the right mandible. Whew! There's so much fine detail in this area.
Also including a shot showing how I build the detail topically.
Taking a very brief break from painting to play with some electronics!
This helmet build includes an awesome RF light kit by JC27. It's designed to fit the Terminalfettler RF topper, and has 2 blinking red LEDs and 3 tiny white LEDs. All you have to do is hook up the wires using solderless connectors, and put in a 9-volt battery.
Light check... complete!
Work is progressing with the accessories. I have gotten the RF ear parts finished and airbrushed the white arch on the left ear.
I have also weathered the metal stalk by adding some rust spots.
The final stages went quick! So here is number 61 all finished!
As always, I had a lot of fun working on this one. To recap, this was a Machinecraft Replicas MCR-ESB kit that the owner cleaned up and did the prep work on. It came with machined metal ears and Borden piece, a Terminalfettler RF topper, and a JC27 light kit.
Very cool assortment of parts!
Thanks for following along with the build, and I'll be back soon with another helmet.
