ROTJ Special Edition Promo

So found a cool easy way to mark the return edge cut line. Used my compass with the pencil attachment.

Looking Good Mr. G !! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress pics. I'm working on a film version SE also. I've got the Jetpack next up to start on, and I need to paint the rocket for the
Gaunt...

I've also got Humbrol enamel paint. I was thinking about using rattle can for the large areas on the Jetpack, but I'm sure the Hubrol would be a better route to go...

Lookin good man, WF is nice.

You may want to reach out to him about getting a different left knee if he does them. You’ll want the corresponding dent that match’s the PP2. Also, the right breastplate doesn’t not have the dent present. Just the damage shown for it.

You are correct on both cases: the promo and the on screen ROTJ SE suit does not have the dent on the right chest plate and the left knee is the Pre-Pro #2 one.

So I am now confused the crl says it’s for the promotional version only for the left knee and right chest dent I can fill in with bondo.

The ROTJ SE Promo has at least 3 variations:

ROTJ SE Still Variations.jpg

The one on the middle is the closest to the on screen version (no shin tools and boot spikes, and Pre-Pro #2 right gauntlet). Among the slight differences are the shin tools (or the lack of it), the belt pouches, the spats, missing boot spikes and so on.

Rafal after looking over all the SE pictures I'M now liking the promo version better. Thanks for all you input.

Greg, some key notes with a promo shoot fett you will want to distinguish which one will you want to do. By mainly the gauntlets, missing shin tools, toe spikes and other minor features

This one has push button switches and is weathered differently

Or

Which has no toggle switches and has different weathering patterns on the gauntlets and jetpack.

Other key features From RoTJ SE

14 pouch belt
Off set colored pouches (one is off white and the other is beige)
All shin tools are present, though the sonic beam is not a Patterson squeege, it’s actually the visual dictionary weapon as shown. (Toolguy makes these now)
Half scope on the blaster
You’ll only have two hoses one from the rocket going under the backplate and one on the right gauntlet. Also, don’t forget the duct tape!!!
Eventually the braids will require a brown braid as it’s the ESB braids.

The CRL will be going under changes it’s just a matter of when. If you’re a member of the BHG, you can see some things in my posts that Jeremy has mentioned that will be changing. I personally did the 2nd set of promo shoot fett with all shin tools present.

Thanks for your input. I’m leaning towards the first pic on Rafals last post that is the same as the last pic on your post. I have all the necessary switches to do any version of the gauntlets. I also already have the Patterson squeegee cut but haven’t finished it yet. Also Woodmen is making me SE braids now. Which should be done anytime.

Also I do see quite a few versions out of the SE that others have done and got approved.
