Hi all!
Beginning another commission today. This one is going to be a sort of hybrid. It's a previously completed ESB helmet that I'm converting to an SE bucket for hvacdon. Hi, Don! :)
I received the helmet as shown in these 3 pics.

I have already gotten started on it and I began where I usually do--the rear panels.
I worked on the left panel today, tweaking the damage shapes, adding some additional detail, and then some physical damage. Here's a before and after look at the panel.

I'll work on the right panel next!

Awesome !! Panels are looking good !! Also, I don't remember if I mentioned it, but that helmet is a Marrow Sun.
I haven't researched much on them yet. Does anyone know the history on them?

Yeah, kinda figured it might be one of the old "mystery" helmets, based on the shape of some of the features.
Don't remember them being this heavy, though!

Started on the dome this afternoon. Here's the before and after of the rear portion.
I added the scrape above the silver area, as well as the network of finer scratches.

Don't pay any attention to the color difference between the 2 shots. I had my desk lamp on for the before shot and it was blowing out the colors a little bit.

There's just a little bit to do on the area just behind the RF ear, then I'll jump to the front and start tweaking the cat scratch area.
One of my favorites! :D

Thanks for the great info WTF !! This is awesome, the helmet that Furious is talking about in the post is this helmet !!
I bought it from him awhile back......unless he had two of them !! (y)

Thanks! I got in the zone today, lol. Got a lot of work done on the dome.
First, the right front quarter. Just a bit of tweaking on the shapes, then the addition of some small dings and scratches.

I moved around to the left side of the dome and did a few small adjustments to the dent and the other gray/silver areas, then I added all the SE "muck" all over the left side. There's so much juicy detail here! I used black, silver, a charcoal gray, white, and a small amount of chocolate brown to do all the chipping, residue, and smears.

I've included a couple of additional angles here so you can see around the curve of the dome.

There's a bit more to do to the crown of the dome and I'll work on that this weekend. Then, it's on to the cheeks.

Glad you like it so far. :)
This update shows the last portion of the dome--the crown. There are a bunch of fine scratches and streaks added, as well as a few alterations to the shapes in the "major" scrape.

I'll begin working on the cheeks next.

Rollin' along!
I've been working on the cheeks and have gotten them both finished.
Here's the before and after of the right cheek. There's not as much detail as on the left cheek, so I made some small tweaks to the shapes, then added the silver chips and the white "blob" on the outer cheek. It's very similar to the thumbprints on the killstripe side. Some physical scratches finished things up.

There's a bit more going on with the left cheek. I spent a little more time reshaping the gray. Then I added more silver chips, including the big paint flake on the dark portion close to the mandible. Some finer chips and scratches were also added.

I made a quick start on the red areas with the keyslot insert. Not much to do here. I just refined the silver a bit.

I'll begin work on the red band next. (y)
