Flight Suit Neckseal Help

Hey everyone!
I'm looking into making myself a new neckseal. The one I have is very nicely put together by one of the pros here, but it's a little "fluffy" for me lol its also too tall for my neck, so does anyone have a template for it or at least fabric advice? Also maybe advice for a better closing system? Mine just has three small pieces of velcro and it doesn't look as neat as I'd like
--on another note, I'd like to make a chin skirt. Even though it's not screen accurate, I'd like to have it for a rainy day. So a template or ideas for that would be awesome!
