Mix's ESB Boba Build

Hey guys!

This will be my first attempt at a Boba build after doing a two custom kits over at the MMCC!

Kit#2 My Legends Protector


I had a lot of fun building these guys over the past couple years, but I really wanted to take the plunge into doing a ESB Fett after my Protector. You can only be called Boba so many times at a convention before you want to fix that. I went ahead and got myself one of Wasted Fett's FPH2s and a ton of paint so once I get the time, I'll start the minimal prep work needed to get going on this lid.




There's a combination of Model Master, Testors, and Tamiya in there (both acrylic and enamel) so my airbrush will certainly be put to the test over the next few months. Dent Eastwood and Dha from MLS have been shooting me some advice on this build thus far, but feel free to chime in. I'll put up a list of the paints I'll be using later to see what folks think. Either way, thanks for taking a look!

Ok, It's been a little bit so I'm sorry for the lack of upgrades. I got some parts in the mail and made some progress on my helmet so I'd love to see what you guys think. This is my first go at an actual Fett so it's not perfect, but I'd love some help eventually getting there!

Braids from Woodman! Do people just sew these onto their flak vest?

ESB EE-3 Blaster kit from Stormrider. It's literally held together by gravity here. lol I also picked up the Pulse 40 Speargun and nemrod holster. I don't have good pics of those at the moment. In the background you can make out my ESB Hero armor from Wasted Fett.

As far as the braids go i just pin mine to my shoulder. I don't see your silver braid though do you have one? You will need one of those. The ESB calls for black blonde and silver grey strands.

Ok, time for a helmet update. I ended up getting a FPH2 from Wasted Fett, which arrived quickly and went together great! Loved it so much, I bought another for my Protector!

Everything is removable with chicago screws and the provided hardware you get with the kit, but I didn't want to bore people with the details.

I also installed the MQ-1, which was a little too high so I moved it down.

First time using the humbrol masking fluid. Great stuff. Came off with one pull!

First time doing this paint up so it's not perfect, but I'm happy with how it's turned out so far. Next is the light gray. Thanks for looking!

Is you stalk hollow for the RF wire to go inside?

Little bit more progress since I last updated things here. Added the green after working with Raizofett and Dented Eastwood on the color mixture. Next I think I'll figure out the mixture for the insignia red and close the book on major colors/airbrushing.
