Rangefinder/servo help

I have a jc27 servo kit that I got months ago, and an aluminum rf stalk. Was wondering if anyone can explain their method of assembling something like this.

Yeah I want to do something similar to one of the methods on the dropbox, but I can't figure out how to best drill into aluminum, I'm very inexperienced with this sort of thing

You will need to know how thick your stalk is to figure out how big the hole should be. You could do a google search for hole and tap sizes. Once you have the hole size figured out, you could go to a hardwre store and get a small tap and dye set to thread the hole. The hardest part wil probably be finding a small enough set screw for the newly threaded hole.
